LIBERTY LAKE, Wash. — The Washington State Patrol (WSP) says two drivers are dead after a head-on crash near Liberty Lake in eastern Washington.
A WSP report shows a 20-year-old driver was heading westbound on State Route 290 at around 3 a.m. Saturday morning, when he crossed into the eastbound lanes and collided head-on with a 61-year-old driver.
Both were pronounced dead at the scene.
Troopers say excessive speed contributed to the crash.
