OCEAN CITY, Wash. — Washington State Patrol detectives are looking for a 1990s Toyota Celica that is believed to have hit a cyclist and then fled near Ocean City last month.
The victim, 31-year-old Michael P. Faigenblum of Seattle, was riding a bicycle on the shoulder of SR 109 near Burrows Road on Monday, June 22, when he was hit from behind by a passenger car.
Faigenblum was knocked off his bicycle and landed in a ditch. The car that hit him fled the scene.
A passerby found Faigenblum just after 11 p.m. He had non-life-threatening injuries and was taken to the hospital.
Troopers are looking for a Toyota Celica believed to have been manufactured between 1990 and 1993. It likely has windshield damage or damage on its front right and is missing the passenger side mirror.
Anyone who saw the crash or has information about the driver and car is asked to contact the State Patrol on its non-emergency line at 360-473-0300 and select zero for dispatch.
