Three people pulled from a burning home in Port Orchard

PORT ORCHARD, Wash. — Three people were rushed to the hospital in critical condition after they were pulled from a burning home in Port Orchard.

The Kitsap County Sheriff’s Office shared video of its deputies running toward the house to rescue people.

The fire happened Thursday afternoon on Fairview Boulevard Southwest.

When deputies arrived, a woman was unconscious in the doorway. Neighbors helped break down the door when they saw flames and learned that people were trapped inside.

According to deputies, neighbors rescued a man, and South Kitsap Fire and Rescue pulled a third person out when they arrived.

One person was airlifted to Harborview Medical Center in Seattle. The other two were rushed to a trauma center in Tacoma.

The cause of the fire is currently under investigation by the Kitsap County Fire Marshal.
