The coldest air of the fall will bring mountain snow and even the chance for some snowflakes in some lower elevations of Western Washington Thursday night through Friday.

KIRO 7 Pinpoint Meteorologist Morgan Palmer says very gusty winds of 30-45 mph can be expected across western Whatcom and Skagit counties late Thursday through Friday. Palmer says with this cold wind pushing southwest through Bellingham, the San Juans and toward Port Angeles and Port Townsend, the cold nature of the air could cause snow to fall to near sea level Thursday night and Friday.
