It’s a pretty gray way to start the week, but don’t let the clouds fool you — this is actually the beginning of a pretty nice stretch of weather. We’ll have a few sprinkles around this morning, then things gradually dry out this afternoon, with sunshine and warmer temperatures taking over by midweek.
We’re starting with light onshore wind, and that will provide just enough lift to produce a Puget Sound Convergence Zone around Snohomish and King Counties early today. That could bring some additional drizzle or a few sprinkles, although it will likely be too low-level to show up on radar. Elsewhere, we shouldn’t see much, if any, rain this morning. It will stay cloudy, but we’ll slowly dry out with some increasing sunbreaks this afternoon and partly to mostly cloudy skies. Highs will be in the mid to upper 60s.
A weak system moves across the area tomorrow, bringing mainly light showers during the morning. We’ll turn drier in the afternoon with increasing sunbreaks and highs in the upper 60s.
Then the pattern shifts Wednesday as the wind turns offshore. That will help warm things up, bringing us sunshine and highs in the mid 70s Wednesday and Thursday.
We’ll cool down a bit Friday and into the weekend, but it still looks pretty nice. Expect morning clouds followed by afternoon sun, with highs in the upper 60s to lower 70s.
