Temperatures expected to cool across western Washington this week

After six straight days of 90° heat, temperatures are cooling off Monday, with temperatures 8-15 degrees cooler than Sunday!

A weak system to our north is helping to increase onshore wind, which means more moisture and cooler conditions.

There is also some upper-level cloud cover and moisture moving in from a low around California and Oregon.

That low has and will continue to push in some cloud cover and even a few light showers in the south sound Monday morning.

Haze from California wildfires is also expected to move in today, but the haze will just be a visual distraction and will not impact air quality.

Look for mostly sunny skies Monday, with much cooler temperatures in the upper 70s and lower 80s.

That cool down will continue Tuesday and the rest of the week, with morning clouds then afternoon sun in the upper 70s.

Low clouds and drizzle will be around on Thursday morning with afternoon sun and temperatures in the low 70s!

Into the weekend we should see morning clouds, then afternoon sun with highs in the upper 70s and lower 80s.
