TACOMA, Wash. — A teenage boy is dead after he was shot several times in a busy part of downtown Tacoma.
Tacoma police say they found the teenager inside a parking garage off Commerce Street early Sunday morning.
Tacoma PD Spokesperson Shelbie Boyd tells KIRO 7, when officers arrived, they found a teen boy shot several times.
“They’ve got to talk to whatever officers are on scene, witnesses maybe there,” Boyd said. “They got to go door-to-door looking for surveillance.”
Tacoma Fire Department also responded and tried life saving measures, but sadly the teen died at the scene.
“If they are willing to come out in public, fire a weapon, and take someone’s life, they’re going to be willing to do it anywhere,” Boyd added.
Anyone with any information is urged to reach out to Tacoma police immediately.
