The 15-year-old boy who was shot and killed Saturday morning on the 5100 block of South Oakes Street in Tacoma has been identified by the Pierce County medical examiner.

Police found Hector Gonzalez of Tacoma around 1:15 a.m. Saturday while responding to a report of shots fired. Officers administered CPR but were unable to resuscitate the victim. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

A juvenile suspect was arrested Saturday night and booked into Remann Hall on suspicion of second-degree murder and a weapons violation, police spokeswoman Loretta Cool said Monday afternoon.

A 15-year-old girl and a 15-year-old boy were both arrested on first-degree robbery charges related to Gonzalez’s death, Cool said.

The police investigation is still ongoing, and KIRO 7 will continue to update this story as more information becomes available.
