TACOMA, Wash. — A long-awaited new spot is opening in Tacoma’s Proctor neighborhood.
The Snug Family Pub makes its debut Tuesday, located at 2717 N Proctor Street, after nearly two years of renovations, the company announced on social media.
The family-owned business will offer an Irish-American theme, a cozy dining room, lounge space, and a heated patio.
“Paul’s roots are so deep in Ireland, and it’s been his dream to have a snug pub since before we met,” Andrea, the pub’s owner’s wife, told Tacoma Weekly back in 2024. “It’s cool to get to see his dream come to fruition in a building that his dad remodeled and had been a part of.”
Tuladhara Yoga previously occupied the space since 2019.
The soft opening runs through Thursday, from 3 to 8 p.m., with the grand opening still to come. A menu has not been revealed, as of this reporting, but one menu item has long been discussed and awaited by the community: a pasta dish with rattlesnake sausage — a meal with deep Irish roots.
