Tacoma firefighters battle flames at early morning house fire

TACOMA, Wash. — The Tacoma Fire Department rushed to put out a house fire early Sunday morning.

It happened on 24th Street Northeast around 2 a.m.

When crews arrived, flames were shooting from the garage of the home.

Firefighters tried to save the house while working to keep the flames from spreading to neighboring homes.

No one was hurt.

The cause of the fire is currently under investigation. Investigators have not determined whether fireworks played a role in the fire.
