T-Mobile Park ranks among MLB’s most affordable ballparks, new study says

SEATTLE, Wash. — Going to a Mariners game can be a time of joy, other times it’s just nine straight innings of disappointment, but according to a new study, it can be a quite affordable experience, as well.

According to a study by Bovada Sportsbook, a beer and a hot dog at T-Mobile will cost you $10, which ranks the stadium as the ninth cheapest in the entire MLB.

The Mariners’ home field is tied with the Colorado Rockies’ Coors Field (also $10), and just below the Cleveland Guardians’ Progressive Field ($9.64). The Detroit Tigers’ Comerica Park is ranked first, with a beer and hot dog combo coming in at just $8.

That being said, the study seems to be based off the cheapest possible beer and hot dogs at the park, which would be the Hempler’s Value Hot Dog and assortment of Value Beers at T-Mobile.

There are 15 different types of value beer, and they range from $5 to $8, according to the Mariners’ website. The cheapest selections include 12-ounce cans of Keystone Light, Miller High Life, and Keystone Light Apple.

Those wanting a hard cider, domestic beer, or craft beer in a 20-ounce can will have to shell out $14 to $16.

A regular, non-value hot dog will also cost a bit more, with VisitYourTeam.com putting the current cost at around $7.

The study seemingly does not factor in tax, as well, with Washington state sales tax bringing the total up to about $11.

Regardless, whether it’s a walk-off win or a complete blowout, Mariners fans can take comfort knowing that they’re not getting entirely ripped-off when it comes down to getting food and drinks at the game.
