THURSTON COUNTY, Wash. — Detectives with the Thurston County Sheriff’s Office launched a homicide investigation after a 51-year-old man was found dead in his bed on Saturday morning.
Deputies responded at 10:42 a.m. to the 800 block of 93rd Avenue Southwest.
Authorities said the man’s sister told them she went to check on her brother and upon arrival, she saw he was dead through a window as it appeared there was significant trauma.
When deputies arrived and entered the house, they found the man dead with an apparent gunshot wound to his head.
A preliminary investigation appears to show the man was shot through the window while asleep in his bed, officials said.
The investigation remains ongoing.
