Stretch of Marine View Drive reopens after slide

TACOMA, Wash. — A stretch of Marine View Drive in Tacoma that was closed on Saturday due to a slide was reopened on Sunday morning.

A public works crew cleared debris in the 4200 block of Marine View Drive. Dirt and what appeared to be a small tree and limbs came down, according to city crews.

Marine View Dr. was temporarily blocked in both directions between the North 11th Street Bridge and Slayden Road Northeast.

No one was injured in the slide and no homes were threatened by the slide.

The road was reopened to all traffic at 11:20 a.m.
