SPD investigates High Point deadly shooting

In a statement Monday, the Seattle Police Department said Homicide detectives are investigating a shooting that left a 28-year-old man dead early Monday morning in Seattle’s High Point neighborhood.

According to the statement, shortly after midnight, police got reports of a gunshot victim being driven to the 2700 block of 1st Avenue South. Officers arrived and found a man suffering from a gunshot wound to the chest.

Officers provided aid until Seattle Fire Department medics arrived. The victim was transported to Harborview Medical Center in critical condition.

According to the department, he later died at the hospital.

In the statement, the department said witnesses told police the shooting occurred in the 3100 block of Southwest Graham Street.
