SEATTLE, Wash. — 80 shell casings from five different guns, including rifles and handguns, were found near the intersection of N 107 St. and Stone Way N. Saturday morning, according to the Seattle Police Department.
Just after 8:15 am officers first received reports of a large number of shots heard in Seattle’s Haller Lake neighborhood.
A resident inside a nearby building had several bullets come into her apartment via the window, and one came very close to hitting her, but she was not injured.
According to the department, officers worked with the Real Time Crime Center to find footage of the shooting. The department says officers saw a black sedan traveling northbound in the footage with what appeared to be substantial bullet damage, but officers were unable to locate the vehicle.
Detectives with the Gun Violence Reduction Unit responded to assist officers in processing the scene.
No suspects are currently in custody, and GVRU detectives will continue to investigate.
