Shooting in Kent leaves two dead, one injured

KENT, Wash. — Kent police say a man accused of shooting and killing his girlfriend and injuring another woman died after shooting himself.

Kent police responded to a shooting in the 20400 block of 92nd Avenue South around 7 p.m.

Officers discovered a 24-year-old female that had been shot and killed.

A 24-year-old male had also been shot and was unconscious. While lifesaving efforts were made, the man died from his injuries.

A second woman at the scene suffered non-life-threatening injuries.

Police say the incident started as a verbal dispute between the two 24-year-olds. They believe the man shot the 24-year-old woman and the other woman before turning the gun on himself.

Kent Police do not believe there are any outstanding suspects.

The incident remains under investigation.
