RENTON, Wash. — Police believe the same burglars are responsible for a string of burglaries of businesses in strip malls.

They use fences and utility pipes to climb onto roofs and then cut holes to drop into a business.

“Since Feb. 3, we’ve had five strip malls and 11 different businesses victimized,” said a Renton police spokesman.

Among the victims was Fairwood Martial Arts.

Thieves broke through the ceiling in two places and punched through a wall.

The thieves have also hit Pizza Dudes, stealing $3,000 in cash and equipment.

Police have collected fingerprints and shoe impressions. They also have video of one of the suspects, although a hooded sweatshirt covers the suspect.

If you see anyone who appears to be casing a strip mall or shopping center, call Renton police.
