Seattle women join 'Pantsuit Nation'

At Keller Rohrback, a law firm downtown, 17 women lined up for a photo, wearing the Clintonesque attire, several with campaign buttons

Hillary Clinton’s famous attire, the pantsuit became a rallying cry in Seattle and across the nation on Election Day.

Thousands of people posted photos of themselves to a Facebook group called “Pantsuit Nation” and women across Seattle posted photos of themselves in pantsuits.

At Keller Rohrback, a law firm downtown, 17 women lined up for a photo, wearing the Clintonesque attire, several with campaign buttons.

<em>And, <a href="http://www.nytimes.com/2016/11/09/us/politics/facebook-pantsuit-nation-clinton.html">as the New York Times reported</a> in an article about the "Pantsuit Nation" Facebook group: "</em><em>Some pantsuits were white, in tribute to the dresses of the suffragettes. Others were mismatched or borrowed. Many were fished out of the back of a closet, along with a memory of a long-lost job or a somber occasion.</em>

<em>These suits were redeployed by thousands of American women on Election Day, when taking a photo of yourself in a pantsuit and posting it to the "secret" Facebook group Pantsuit Nation became the digital equivalent of slapping an "I Voted" sticker on a lapel."</em>
