Seattle police release sketch of attempted kidnapping suspect

Seattle police released a sketch of a suspect who they say tried to kidnap a woman in the Capitol Hill neighborhood earlier this month.

The woman was waiting for her rides-hare vehicle on 11th Avenue between East Union and East Pike streets at about 4:30 a.m. on Feb. 1.

Investigators said while she was waiting, a man drove by slowly and stared at her. The man then parked and allegedly ordered the victim to get into his car at gunpoint.

The victim yelled for help and ran away. She got into her rides-hare and she and the driver both called police.

The suspect got back into his car and drove off.

The suspect is described as being in his 20s or 30s, about 5 feet 10 inches tall with a medium build.

Police said detectives have surveillance video of the incident but are not releasing it at this time.

Anyone with information regarding the identity or location of the suspect is asked to call police.
