Seattle bartender assaulted after asking for proof of vaccination

SEATTLE — A Seattle bartender was assaulted with a sharpened broomstick after asking a customer for proof of vaccination, according to Seattle police.

Witnesses said around 5:15 p.m. on Monday the bartender was attacked in the 500 block of King Street.

Medics treated the bartender for a laceration to her face.

Police believe the suspect may have gotten onto a light rail train and left the area.

Seattle police officers searched the area for the suspect but were unable to locate them.
