SEATAC, Wash. — A Sea-Tac family is heartbroken and grieving after their 19-year-old son was killed in an accidental shooting.
The suspect is another teen who family members are calling a good friend.
It was hugs, tears, and raw emotion for 19-year-old Michael Bingham Montoya.
“He had the biggest heart,” said his aunt, Vanessa Montoya. “He would give anything to anybody just to not see you in pain or suffer.”
“I just miss my son. He didn't deserve this,” said his mom, Melissa Montoya.
His family let out their sorrow during a candlelight vigil Saturday night.
Less than 24 hours earlier, Michael was shot in the head and killed at his home on 29th Place South in SeaTac
“I saw the blood squirting from his head, so I yanked him up and put my hand on it right away. It was an accident, the other boy was playing with the gun. He thought it was cool,” Vanessa said.

The other teen who shot him is just 16 years old. Michael's mom says they were good friends.
Family members tell KIRO7 the 16-year-old brought the gun to show it off. After the shooting, officers took him into custody Friday night.
“They loved each other. Two kids. Two kids were lost yesterday,” Melissa said.
It has Michael's family desperately sharing this message:
“Get away, your life is more important than any gun,” Vanessa said to the crowd during the vigil. “That's how my nephew died. And now he's gone and that other child is gone too,” she said.
They also say it took 45 minutes for police to get to the scene. However, documents provided by the King County Sheriff's Office indicate the first 911 call was made at 9:04 p.m., responders were en route three minutes later and were on scene at less than six minutes after the first 911 call.
“He was the nicest person you'd ever meet in this cruel world. I think he was an angel and he was on borrowed time, and he was just taken too soon,” Melissa said.
Michael's mom has started a fundraiser to help with his funeral costs. Click here for more information.
As for the response time, KIRO7 has submitted a public disclosure request to see when those 911 calls were made and when officers arrived on scene.
