REDMOND, Wash. — Just a week after NFL owners approved the sale, the Seahawks announced today, Sept. 3, that the Khosla family is officially taking over ownership of the team.
“We are honored and excited to begin this next chapter. The Seahawks are known for their championship culture, winning football, and a deep connection to the 12s and the Pacific Northwest,” the Khosla family wrote in a statement. “We look forward to engaging with the Seattle community and building upon the legacy and traditions that make this franchise so special.”
According to a press release from the team, Vinod Khosla will serve as chair, while Neeru Khosla will act as controlling owner and president of the Seahawks Charitable Foundation. Neal Khosla will serve as the team’s vice chair.
While the Khosla family will be the primary owners, 12 co-owners have been announced.

The Khosla family will be formally introduced as the owners before the season opener Wednesday, Sept. 9. Their press conference is slated for 11 a.m. and will be hosted at Lumen Field.
