Seahawks add Jackson Acker, Josiah Deguara, guard Anthony Bradford to practice squad

SEATTLE, Wash. — The Seahawks made significant moves Monday, adding two players to their practice squad and announcing the return of a key member of their starting offensive line.

The team started the day Monday by adding fullback Jackson Acker and tight end Josiah Deguara.

Acker went undrafted at the 2026 NFL Draft and was later signed by the Bills. The Bills released Acker after their first preseason game, according to Seahawks.com Senior Reporter John Boyle.

Deguara is a veteran tight end, spending time with the Green Bay Packers, Jacksonville Jaguars, Arizona Cardinals, San Francisco 49ers, New York Giants, and, most recently, the Philadelphia Eagles. Throughout his seven years in the NFL, Deguara has played in 78 games, has 53 catches, and three touchdowns.

To make room for Acker and Deguara, the Seahawks released Malick Meiga and Seattle-native Dontae McMillan.

In addition to the two new additions, the Seahawks announced Monday the return of starting right guard Anthony Bradford.

Bradford, who has been on injured reserve since sitting out the second week of the season, has been dealing with both knee and hip injuries.

If everything goes to plan this week with Bradford’s time at practice, Seahawks Head Coach Mike Macdonald is ready to play the experienced right guard.

“I know, normally, I’m pretty coy on this one, but it’s pretty straightforward: if he has a good week, he’s going to play a significant amount, if not the whole game,” Macdonald said in a press conference Monday.

The Seahawks face the Kansas City Chiefs Sunday, Oct. 25, at Lumen Field. Kickoff is slated for 5:20 p.m.
