Russell Wilson receives second most Pro Bowl fan votes

SEATTLE — Seahawks quarterback Russell Wilson finished second among all players in fan votes for the 2020 Pro Bowl, the NFL announced Monday.

Wilson received 538,768 votes while Baltimore Ravens’ quarterback Lamar Jackson finished with 704,699.

Fan voting ended Dec. 12, and Pro Bowl rosters will be announced at 5 p.m. Tuesday.

Fans, players and coaches each vote for players to be named to the Pro Bowl. Each group’s vote counts for one-third for determining what 88 players are selected.

Wilson was one of three Seahawks to lead their positions in the fan voting, joining linebacker Bobby Wagner and punter Michael Dickson.

In 14 games this season, Wilson has 28 passing touchdowns to only five interceptions and has added three more scores on the ground.

The 11-3 Seahawks are currently in first place in the NFC and next play the Arizona Cardinals on Sunday at CenturyLink Field.
