SEATTLE — Free agent wide receiver Jordy Nelson is expected to visit the Seattle Seahawks on Tuesday, according to Adam Schefter of ESPN.
Nelson last played for the Oakland Raiders in 2018 and recorded 63 receptions for 739 yards and three touchdowns in 15 games. He recorded two receptions for six yards in the Raiders’ 27-3 loss against the Seahawks in London.
The 33-year-old was originally a second round pick in the 2008 NFL draft by the Green Bay Packers out of Kansas State University when now Seahawks General Manager John Schneider was the Packers’ Director of Football Operations.
Nelson won Super Bowl XLV as a member of the Packers and was named the NFL’s Comeback Player of the Year in 2016.
In nine years with the Packers, Nelson appeared in 136 games and caught 69 touchdown passes – including a career-high 15 in 2011.
