BELLEVUE, Wash. — Bellevue detectives arrested a 31-year-old Renton man for supplying fentanyl-laced drugs that led to the overdose death of a 26-year-old Bellevue woman in 2020.
The woman died of combined drug intoxication, alcohol and fentanyl in her apartment on June 18, 2020.
Lab tests on the blue M30 Oxycodone pills found next to her bed revealed they were fentanyl, and there was no oxycodone in the pills.
A 31-year-old Renton man was arrested Wednesday and charged with Substance Abuse Homicide.
His bail was set at $500,000.
King County has seen an increase of 650% in fentanyl-related deaths in the past five years.
