VIRGINIA — The U.S. Marshals have brought home two “critically missing” children who were reported missing from Redmond in December 2023.
According to the Marshals Office, the children’s mother lost custody of them and took them from Redmond, traveling across the country and hiding their names “in an attempt to evade law enforcement.”
In early August 2026, the Redmond Police Department and the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children requested assistance from the U.S. Marshals Service (USMS).
Investigators from the USMS Missing Child Unit (MCU) worked to locate the children and determined they were in the greater Washington, D.C. area, according to the U.S. Marshals Office
The children were found safely on Sept. 16 and were returned to their father.
