Poulsbo man faces DUI charge after swerving, flipping car into a ravine

POULSBO, Wash. — A Poulsbo area man is facing a DUI charge after his car ended up in a ravine.

It happened near Viking Way Northwest and Northwest Brite Star Lane 5:17 p.m. on Wednesday, April 1st.

According to the sheriff’s office, the man said he swerved to miss an oncoming car and lost control of his vehicle on the wet pavement.

The man failed field sobriety tests and submitted a breathalyzer sample that measured his blood alcohol concentration at nearly twice the legal limit.

He was evaluated by doctors at St. Michael’s Medical Center before being booked into the Kitsap County Jail.
