Police: Woman threatened fellow woman at shelter with box cutter

Lisa Rodarte

A woman with a felony history of assault and theft is charged with threatening to cut a woman at Compass Housing Alliance, located at Seattle First Presbyterian Church.

According to court documents, 47-year old Lisa Layne Rodarte threatened to slash another woman at the shelter with a box-cutter earlier this month. The shelter is at 715 Spring Street in Seattle.

Prosecutors allege Rodarte told the intended victim "I'm going to cut you" and also said "I've gone to jail for this before and I will do it again."

In a 2004 assault case -- in which Rodarte was sentenced to 45 days in jail -- prosecutors wrote that she attacked the African-American victim with a broken bottle and said, "I hope that n----- dies."

Rodarte was still behind bars Tuesday. Her first name is also spelled Lisa in some documents.
