Police pull 61-year-old Kent woman from wreckage

KENT, Wash. — Kent police and fire personnel rescued a 61-year-old woman from badly damaged vehicle Saturday.

Authorities said she was rushed to Harborview Medical Center with life-threatening injuries.

Police said the woman was driving east on Southeast 244th Street and had entered the intersection when she was struck by a man in his early 20s.

The man was southbound on 104th Avenue Southeast. Both drivers were Kent residents.

Authorities said neither alcohol nor drugs appear to be factors in the crash.

The Kent Police Department is investigating.
