KING COUNTY, Wash. — Prosecutors say a man who met a woman in person for the first time after becoming acquainted on a dating app locked the victim in his car while he played pornography, masturbated, groped her and tried to force her to touch him.
According to charging documents, the woman met 46-year-old Steven Ivan Price, of Port Angeles, on the dating app Bumble.
After texting and talking on the phone for a week, the woman invited Price to meet her at a restaurant in White Center on July 18, 2018.
At about midnight, she walked Price to his car and got inside to talk. During the conversation, she and Price kissed, and then Price pulled his pants down, revealing his genitals, according to probable cause documents.
The victim said she told Price she wanted to get out of the car, but Price locked the vehicle and wouldn’t let her get out, played a violent pornographic video on his cellphone and then began pleasuring himself, according to the King County Sheriff’s Office.
The woman told investigators that during the incident, Price tried to force her to touch his genitals, pushed her head toward his crotch, put his hand down her shirt and touched her breast and grabbed her neck and tried to kiss her, court documents said.
After Price finished gratifying himself, he let the woman out of the car, police said.
Price was later arrested by King County deputies on March 14, 2019.
Court documents say he has convictions for first-degree robbery, two counts of malicious mischief, two counts of theft and vehicle prowl.
Price was charged with unlawful imprisonment, indecent exposure and fourth-degree assault Tuesday.
