TACOMA, Wash. — Tacoma police are looking for a driver after a hit-and-run Sunday night.
The incident happened in the 6500 block East I Street at about 6 p.m.
Police said a 26-year-old man was walking in the roadway when a driver verbally confronted him. The suspect then drove away, went around a roundabout and drove back toward the pedestrian and struck him. The vehicle then fled the area.
Police described the suspect vehicle as a 1992 to 2002 silver Chevrolet Impala, with a burned-out tailgate or brake light and with significant passenger side windshield damage. The driver is described as possibly a Hispanic man between 20 to 25 years old.
The pedestrian had serious injuries and was taken to the hospital with life-threatening injuries.
