Police investigate vandalism on WWU campus

Western Washington University police are investigating vandalism on the campus.

The incidents were reported to campus police on Sunday at 10:57 a.m.

Police said a racial epithet was scrawled on the Wright's Triangle sculpture near the Ross engineering building. Then nine name tags on residents' rooms and a stairwell in Nash Residence Hall  were defaced with racist language, a homophobic slur and threat of sexual violence.

An investigation remains ongoing.

Police also said a poster in front of Arntzen Hall was defaced.

Anyone who sees or hears anything, or has information about the incidents, is asked to call university police at 360-650-3911 or make an anonymous report at 360-650-SAFE(7233).
