Man shot during argument in downtown Seattle, police say

SEATTLE — An argument over narcotics Tuesday night in downtown Seattle ended with a 30-year-old man being shot, police said.

At about 9:45 p.m., a passerby who just happened to be a nurse called 911 to report the shooting at 6th Avenue and Seneca Street, which is near Freeway Park. Police said she took the victim to Harborview Medical Center where he was treated for a gunshot wound to the shoulder.

Officers met the victim at the hospital and found he knew the suspect but was unwilling to identify him, authorities said.

Gang Unit detectives are investigating.
