TACOMA, Wash. — A man was shot dead in South Tacoma on Sunday evening, according to police.
The Tacoma Police Department reports that the shooting, which has been ruled a homicide, happened around 6:55 pm on Sunday.
Officers say that they responded to a call of gunfire on 58th Street, near South Orchard Street and South 56th Street.
When they arrived, officers say they found one man who had been shot.
Arriving officers tried to help save him, but the man was pronounced dead once emergency crews arrived.
TPD detectives are currently investigating the shooting.
