MARYSVILLE, Wash. — A driver who attempted to elude officers with the Marysville Police Department was tracked down by a K-9 and arrested early Thursday, police said.
According to the police department, officers attempted to pull over a white Cadillac Escalade around 1:30 a.m., but the driver of the vehicle attempted to elude the officers.
“The vehicle continued reckless operation and spike strips were utilized by Marysville Police to disable to vehicle and protect the public,” the department said in a news release.
After going over the spike strips, police said the suspect drove into a front yard near the 6700 block of 58th Street NE.
The suspect then fled the vehicle and began running toward nearby homes, police said.
Officers contained the location and called in a K-9 to help with the search.
Police said the K-9, Tango, located the suspect in nearby blackberry bushes and he was booked into jail.
“Thanks K9 Tango and Officer Southhard for the assist!” police said.
