EVERETT, Wash. — Everett officers are investigating a shooting that left two men dead on Tuesday.
The Everett Police Department said just after 4 p.m., officers got reports of multiple shots fired at a house in the 2300 block of Virginia Avenue.
When officers got there, they found a 40-year-old man in the backyard of the house with gunshot wounds. Officers gave aid but the man died at the scene.
Officers went into the house to look for anyone inside and found a 54-year-old man dead with gunshot wounds.
Police said an initial investigation showed the two men were friends and neighbors who lived across an alley from one another. Both men were inside when they started fighting and at some point, a gun was fired.
Detectives are currently investigating but said there is no evidence of any other suspects at this time.
