No evidence of ‘abduction': Mountlake Terrace woman's death determined

A Mountlake Terrace woman, who had been missing for nearly a week, was found dead earlier this year.

The Snohomish County medical examiner determined suicide as the manner of death in the case of a woman who was considered missing earlier this year.

Cheryl DeBoer was supposed to be at a carpool at the Mountlake Terrace Transit Center on Feb. 8, but instead texted a friend, saying she had to go home and grab her work badge. She said she would take the bus to work instead.

She wasn't heard from again, and her body was found six days later by a search group.

The medical examiner released findings in March saying she was found with a plastic bag over her head. She died of asphyxia.

An autopsy did not reveal any injuries consistent with DeBoer being a victim of an assault, abduction or struggle.
