Nice weather continues tomorrow, WA on track to have one of the driest Octobers in history

SEATTLE, Wash. — The forecast for tonight calls for another chilly evening with temperatures dropping down into the 40s by tomorrow morning.

The overall picture for Monday looks a lot like it did today. We start off with some fog and low clouds burning off by the afternoon and giving us a partly cloudy day Monday.

After those chilly 40s tomorrow morning, temperatures will recover to a few degrees either side of 60. No rain is expected tomorrow.

This coming week, we will be tracking a large area of low pressure staying well off the West Coast. This will drift south over the next few days, staying off the coast, and throwing a few clouds up here in the Pacific Northwest.

No rain is expected for the first part of the week.

By Thursday and Friday, a weak weather system should move in from the West and bump up our rain chances a little bit.

However, it does not look like we would get a lot of rain by the end of this week. The computer models are showing a better chance for rain showers next Saturday. In general, the forecast is mainly dry throughout the area this coming week.

The month of October continues to be one of the driest on record with less than .10 inches of rain reported at SEA Airport this month.

Even with the chance of showers by the end of this week, it doesn’t look like we are going to catch up with rainfall anytime soon. The deficit rain amount is over 1.5 inches for the month, and we are running a nearly 3.5 inches rain deficit so far this year.

Enjoy the beautiful fall weather!
