The Washington State Patrol (WSP) says a multi-vehicle crash blocked multiple lanes on the southbound Interstate 5 in Kent.
Crews with the Washington State Department of Transportation (WSDOT) have begun to open lanes, but backup still exceeds 3 miles.
The crash happened just before 12 pm on southbound I-5 near 272nd Street in Kent, and four lanes were blocked.
WSP says there were multiple vehicles involved and injuries.
