MUKILTEO, Wash. — A Mukilteo motorcycle rider was killed Tuesday morning in a hit-and-run crash on State Route 525.
Jeff Woods, a local father of seven, was driving his motorcycle on SR 525 near Beverly Park Road in Mukilteo, when a driver in a 2005 Dodge Grand Caravan struck and killed him, according to a Washington State Patrol (WSP) press memo.
After hitting Woods, WSP says the driver abandoned their vehicle and fled the scene.
WSP says while they have the driver’s vehicle, they are still actively looking for the suspect.
As they continue to track down the person who hit and killed Woods, Woods’ family and friends are heartbroken.
“He was the kind of person who was always smiling, always willing to help, and seemingly able to fix anything,” Jenna Martin said via email. “Above all, he was a devoted husband and father who meant the world to his family.”
A GoFundMe has been set up by his employer, Tyson Remodel, to support his family in this difficult time.
