MOSES LAKE, Wash. — A 36-year-old Moses Lake man was arrested on gun and distribution charges after a search of his home, according to the police department.
Police confirmed that Donte Scott was booked into the Grant County Jail following an investigation by local law enforcement.
Detectives with the Moses Lake Police Department Street Crimes Unit initiated the case after learning Scott had made multiple recent attempts to purchase a firearm, despite being legally ineligible to possess one. Investigators also gathered evidence indicating Scott was in possession of a shotgun.
Detectives from the Street Crimes Unit, assisted by the Moses Lake Regional Tactical Response Team, arrested Scott and searched his residence on Hill Street.
Inside the home, officers reportedly found and seized four firearms along with four ounces of psilocybin mushrooms and assorted marijuana products. Detectives also recovered packaging material, scales, and cash.
Scott faces charges of unlawful possession of a firearm and possession of a controlled substance with intent to deliver.
