More Sounder trains will run for the Seahawks’ Sunday home games

SEATTLE, Wash. — Seahawks fans taking the train to Lumen Field will have more options for Sunday afternoon games this season.

Sound Transit is increasing its special gameday Sounder service to three S Line trains from Lakewood and Sumner and two trains from Everett, returning service to pre-pandemic levels.

The expanded schedule starts Sunday for the Seahawks game against the Los Angeles Chargers. Sounder service is planned for four Seahawks game days this season.

From the south, trains will depart Lakewood at 9:51 a.m. and 10:26 a.m., along with a 10:43 a.m. departure from Sumner. The trains will reach King Street Station between 11:07 a.m. and 11:42 a.m.

After the game, southbound trains will depart King Street Station 10, 20 and 45 minutes after the game ends.

From Everett, trains will depart at 10:20 a.m. and 10:45 a.m., stopping in Mukilteo and Edmonds. They are scheduled to arrive at King Street Station at 11:19 a.m. and 11:44 a.m.

Trains returning to Everett will leave Seattle 20 and 45 minutes after the game.

Link light rail, ST Express and King County Metro also provide service near Lumen Field.
