FEDERAL WAY, Wash. — Two mobile homes were destroyed and a third was damaged so badly that it is considered a total loss after a fire at a large mobile home park.
Two vehicles were also totaled in the fire.
Firefighters and medics from multiple fire districts were called to the large mobile home park in the 3000 block of South 288th Street at 11 p.m. Sunday for the two-alarm fire.
South King Fire said the damage to the building where the fire started was so great that the cause of the fire will remain undetermined. Fire investigations ruled out the possibility that any accelerants were used and the fire’s cause is considered to be accidental.

The lone person who lived in the home where the fire started was asleep at the time of the fire but was awoken by neighbors who saw the flames.
South King Fire said the occupant escaped unhurt because neighbors took the initiative to wake him up and help him get out of the burning building.
There were as many as 12 people living in the homes, but no people, pets or firefighters were hurt.
