SCAPPOOSE, Ore. — From running a the city to running people around town, one Oregon Mayor is turning heads with how he keeps himself busy during his down time.
Scott Burge, Mayor of Scappoose, Oregon, does not let his position as an elected official stand in his way of making an extra buck.
Scappoose, about 30 minutes outside of Portland, had only 6,658 residents in it's 2012 census.

In an interview with KOIN 6, Burge said that he took up driver for Uber almost two years ago, and that the conversations he has with the citizens of Scappoose give him a perspective that few elected officials have.
"Another friend of mine was driving and he said 'you should try this, it's a great part-time job that you can control your schedule,'" Burge said.
