Marysville police K9 makes first capture on the job

ARLINGTON, Wash. — A K9 named Charlie with the Marysville Police Department (MPD) caught his first suspect in Arlington on January 5, the department said.

A suspect fled a traffic stop by the Washington State Patrol in Skagit County and ran into a wooded area.

The MPD K9 team was called in and officers shared live updates from a drone flying over the woods.

Bodycam posted to Facebook shows K9 Charlie tracking the suspect’s scent and leading officers to the suspect.
