Some marijuana growers say they’re unable to sell their products to retailers because of a glitch in the state’s computer system.
The Washington State Liquor and Cannabis Control Board uses a computer system that tracks every pot product from seed to sale. Each product has a traceability number which make it trackable all the way back to the grower and the plant it came from.
KIRO 7 talked to a local farmer who said the state’s new software for its computer system, which was rolled out Feb.1, is having problems communicating with the retail stores' third-party software.
The state told KIRO 7 the glitches are fixed and the technical problems should be solved soon.
