SEATTLE — Seattle police are investigating a deadly shooting that happened in the Capitol Hill neighborhood late Friday night.
The shooting was reported around 10:20 p.m. at the intersection of E Pine Street and Belmont Ave.
Police say the man was shot multiple times and was pronounced dead at the scene.
It’s unclear what led up to the shooting, but an early investigation indicates that one person had a box cutter and the other one had a gun. The investigation is still underway to determine if this was a self-defense shooting, according to SPD.
The person who fired the shots stayed on scene and is being questioned by detectives.
