PUYALLUP, Wash. — A 30-year-old man was transported to the hospital in serious condition following a shooting at the Canyon Park Apartments in Puyallup last night.
Pierce County Sheriff’s Office (PCSO) deputies responded around 7 p.m. after a woman called 911 to report that her boyfriend had been shot.
“The shooting occurred following a verbal altercation between the victim and his girlfriend, who happened to be the female who called 911,” PCSO Deputy Carly Capetto said.
Deputies found the man with a gunshot wound.
Capetto said investigators do not yet know what led to the argument.
“We don’t exactly know what caused one to want to shoot the other,” she added.
The 29-year-old woman was arrested for first-degree domestic-violence assault. Detectives are continuing to investigate.
