Man, dog shot in Judkins Park home invasion

SEATTLE — Seattle police are looking for suspects after a man and dog were shot in a home invasion robbery.

It happened at a home in the 1100 block of 29th Avenue South in the Judkins Park neighborhood.

Witnesses called 911 at 9:30 p.m. Sunday to report masked men had forced their way into the home. Officers on their way to the house heard multiple gunshots in the area shortly before they arrived.

Officers entered the home and found a man who had been shot twice and a dog that had been shot and killed. The suspects had fled.

The victim was taken to Harborview with injuries that were not life-threatening.

Robbery detectives said a large amount of cash had been taken from a safe inside the home.
